SOCIAL NEWS

DISASTER !! "Feel-a-bag" night and George (Social sec,) was unwell and couldn't attend with said bags! However. Kevin managed to rustle up an impromptu quiz which was great fun (Disaster averted). Coincidentally, it had been Dave's Birthday the day previous. So we enjoyed cake and nibbles (thanks Zelder & Jenny) after the quiz, so a really good fun night.

Next Social event: 14th May sees our return to The Halfway House, Brenchley for "Steak & Kidney" evening. The food is always good. So good we moved our Annual Dinner (last January) to the Halfway House as well. AND, of course the selctions of real ale is excellent.

ANNUAL DINNER 17th January 2026

The Annual Dinner 2026 probably marks the end of Christmas celebrations. I know we are well into January 2026 but the Halfway House provided us with their excellent Christmas menu, all of which were delicious (I tried most!). We managed a very acceptable turnout (30) which filled the areas the pub had reserved for us nicely, although a little tricky to negotiate socialising.

A few photos to remember the occasion, I'm afraid my photography doesn't do the evening justice. Perhaps Santa will upgrade my mobile for next year!
