SOCIAL NEWS

January Social usually starts with deciding who the club darts champion is. 2026 is no different. It was a shock champ last year with Dave Hood winning. This years saw a finally between Jan and new member Martin Gevaux, with Martin becoming victorious.

So martin only joined last year and already his name is on the silverware!!

100 years !!

Now we are in 2026 we are entering the clubs 100th year of existence (Dec 1926 Club began). This is a stunning achievement and we hope to enjoy 2026 with some themed events.

Next Social event: Now we are getting into the new year the social calendar rolls on. February (19th Feb) will see the first of a new set of Quiz nights. Let's see what torture George can put us through. They are never boring. 8PM 19th Feb, Ightham Village Club.

ANNUAL DINNER 17th January 2026

The Annual Dinner 2026 probably marks the end of Christmas celebrations. I know we are well into January 2026 but the Halfway House provided us with their excellent Christmas menu, all of which were delicious (I tried most!). We managed a very acceptable turnout (30) which filled the areas the pub had reserved for us nicely, although a little tricky to negotiate socialising.

A few photos to remember the occasion, I'm afraid my photography doesn't do the evening justice. Perhaps Santa will upgrade my mobile for next year!
